Beale Street is within walking distance of ten hotels in downtown Memphis. The hotels within closest proximity are: The Westin, The Hampton Inn & Suites Beale Street, The Peabody Hotel & The DoubleTree.
DOES BEALE STREET HAVE A CURFEW POLICY OR CODE OF CONDUCT? . . .
Yes. After 9pm or during designated special events, patrons must be 21 years of age or older or be accompanied their legal parent or guardian. After 11pm, all patrons must be 21 years of age or older and possess a valid id. Knives, guns and other weapons are not allowed to be brought onto Beale Street and backpacks & bags are subject to search.
WHAT IS THE $5 BEALE COVER CHARGE? . . .
The $5 Beale Street Cover Charge is instituted on Saturday nights, during the summer, to help eliminate overcrowding on the street and to improve the experience & safety of all of our guests.
At 10:00pm, on Saturday nights during the summer months, guests visiting Beale Street will be charged $5 at any of our 5 entrances onto Beale Street. Guests will then receive a wristband as proof of entry. The $5 cover charge will not be required any other day or night of the week.
Guests must be at least 21 years old to enter Beale Street when the $5 cover charge is in effect. Only cash can be used to pay the $5 cover charge at any of our 5 entrances onto Beale Street.
WHAT IS BEALE STREET’S HOURS OF OPERATION? . . .
Beale Street is an active entertainment district 7 days a week. Most bars and restaurants are open until 3am with the ability to stay open till 5am if they choose. Please refer to an individual establishment’s website for their hours of operation.
