Later in March Beale Street will welcome The Red Rooster to 340 Beale. Little Anthony’s Soul Food will open in April at 341 Beale. A ‘well known blues club” should also open in about the same time at 310 Beale. Some renovations are happening — new sidewalk, new gate, new signage — to increase accessibility for tours of the W. C. Handy historic house at 352 Beale.
All of these things are part of looking forward and a new day for Beale Street, a parting of the clouds from controversies which have unfairly targeted –but only slightly hampered — the state’s number one tourist attraction. Come see Beale soon and be a part of our future.
